Q: Who are you?
We are fun loving people. We created this web site in hope of bringing our members lots of fun and lots of love.
Q: What are your objectives?
Our first objective is always for FUN. We hope that this fun, love, passion, friendships, and all the good things and people in life can be expressed by our members in the hearts they buy and be preserved as long as we possibly can. We hope that 40 years from now, our members can look back at all the fun messages they posted and have a big, big nostalgic smile. We also hope that this site, through all our members, can help us spread love, and the goodness of life one heart at a time.
Q: What kind of service you provide?
PeopleWithHearts.com provides unique message board services. We have many events, and each event will have their corresponding event board. All our event boards are public message boards. There will be many icons in each of the event board. Most of them are in the shape of heart. We called these icons "hearts". Some of the events have icons that do not resemble a heart shape; we call them hearts anyway. Members can pick a heart and add a message on it. This unique heart will always be yours. When a message is added to a heart, the heart will be activated and its color will change. You can see the message popping out when your cursor goes over an active heart. From time to time, there will be new events that we promote. As a member, you will be notified when new events are being promoted.
Q: How to be a member?
First, read the privacy policy and the service agreement. Then locate the link that says "Join our club" and click it. Enter the form and click the "Register" button. An instruction to activate your membership will be sent to your email account. You will be our member the moment you activate your account.
Q: What will be my obligation as a member?
Our club aim is for members to spread love by sending hearts. To be an active member of PeopleWithHearts.com, you will have to activate at least a heart every year. If you failed to do so, your account will be put into a passive state. A passive member will not be able to sign in before re-activating the account.
Q: How to locate a heart?
In the event board, when you move your cursor over a heart, you will see the event's ID and event's year located between 2 hearts on the top of the popped up box. The heart's ID consists of 4 numbers. By using the event's ID, event's year and the heart's ID, you can search or locate the heart easily.
If you are a member and you are trying to locate a heart you sent or you received, you can go to 'My Hearts' page. Click on the heart you are trying to locate, and you will be redirected to the event page. In the event page, you will see a beating red heart. That will be the heart you are looking for.
Q: Is this service free?
Yes, it is now ABSOLUTELY FREE
Q: How to view a message in the heart?
On the event board, put your mouse over a colored heart and the message in that heart will pop up. Go to the heart with the same ID as what you are looking for, and you will be able to see your specific message. If you are having difficulties finding your heart, you can always find it in the "My Hearts" page.
Q: Does the recepient need to be a member?
No. Heart recepient will receive an email informing them that they have received a heart from your email account. They are encouraged to view their message in the heart. The message itself will not be sent through the email. If the message is "private", recepient need to be a member, and signed in to view.
Q: What is a private message?
You will have the option to select your message to be private. When you add a "private" message to a heart, the message will not show up when viewed by people other than the recepient or yourself. To view a private message, the receipient must be a member and has exactly the same email address as the recepient. And recepient has to log in to our site. Then go to the event board and move your cursor over the heart. The message will pop up. Only the receipient with the exact member's email login will be able to view this message.
Q: What kind of messages I can put in the heart?
We are here to spread love and friendship. Harsh, illegal, vulgar, offensive, indecent, adult rated, advertisements, promotion, solicitations, commercial, politics, violence materials or any materials related to discrimination of race, religion, country of origin, non-event related are strictly prohibited and will be suspended, removed or censored by sole descretion of staffs of PeopleWithHearts.com. If we find any violation, we will remind the member who has violated this rule. If reminders do not result in violating member cooperation, we reserve the right to remove membership and terminate our service to the violating member indefinitely.
Q: Will I be able to withdraw a heart or change the message?
Once submitted, you will not be able to withdraw or change the message in the heart. Our aim is to preserve original messages.
